Slot Machine Wins 2014

Slot Machine Wins 2014 – You know, they say he’ll stay in Vegas. But I’ll let you in on a few details. (VEGAS TODD. We miss you already.)

The HeeHaw machine. Because that’s what Iowans do. The more corn you see, the more you win. Duh. It’s just common sense.

On night one we went to Downtown Vegas and had the Fremont Street Experience. (I always think of Heart when I mention that night. Thank you Fremont light show for choosing Heart as your soundtrack.) So many lights. So many $0.99 margaritas. And then, oh and then, we landed at the El Cortez where I had to recreate my Total Eclipse of the Heart moment and bring that smoky living room to life (there was a move I’d call later as a split jump, ran around the living room to pump up the crowd, and one meaningful serenade for a man called Igor who later sang a Train song). We <3 the El Cortez.

Josh sang way better than I did, so did those brothers rocking the hell out of Milli VanilliAND almost made me cry when KC and JoJo hit them, but did Josh sit and the brothers on Vegas Eddie’s knee as they rapped “On your mark, set up, go, let me, let me jump, To the next man in the three-piece suit?” I can promise you they didn’t do that.

My only other trip to Sin City was in 2007. (I had to research the exact year. As I write 2007 I’m still trying to figure it out how was that almost 7 years ago. Whoa. I’ve legit grown up. ) In 2007 I went for a wedding, in August, I saw almost every casino on the climb, I put on a dress I haven’t worn since I saw Thunder From Down Under. (Yeeeowww) I had a bob too. And thinner elbows. It was a totally interesting, totally exhausting trip. I’ve learned that’s how Vegas trips go, especially when you’re 7 years from your last trip. (I slept a lot later this time. A lot later.)

Well check out Laura 2007, rocking the big slot machine. Or just posing for a photo, because I can assure you I didn’t spend $2.

A quick note to my Allegiant Airlines friends: You offer nice flight prices, but you spend a glass of water on that flight. That’s cool and all, but it doesn’t make that long messy flight into McCarran any more comfortable. I recommend your flight crew – very nice people. And by setting up zone 6, you made my experience a great one. Thanks for that part.

Every night in Vegas was a special experience, with Kevin reminding us that this was, in fact, his favorite trip to Vegas, ever. (Thanks Kev.) Night two we saw the decadent Cosmopolitain. I introduced Jenni to paella and we had fried pig’s ear and grilled beef tongue and pickled cauliflower. To the veggie keeper at Comme Ca who told us all about your trip to China and invasive species and was a one-man-Vegas welcome vehicle: thank you for that short trip to your bar one of those times my favorite of the trip.

A coin flip decided our fate as we jumped on the club scene (sorry Dave, the promoter of the club Jenni is somehow named. XS seems like a very small but amazing place) and we did We made our way through the casino floor enjoying the sweet sounds of the Jennifer Keith Quintet. I started my lucky butterfly streak on a (presumable?) slot machine.

The trip took a big turn on New Year’s Eve when Jenni’s respiratory flu passed out (so sad) leaving the three of us to pick her up in Vegas. We talked about sports and sports betting and sports books. #sports

We grabbed a last minute reservation in Stac and grilled steak on a rock, tied with a bow tie, drank out of illegal aluminum cans (no cans or glass outside are licensed casinos on NYE. none.) and we walked down the middle of the Strip, dodging the early drunks, to get to the Wynn. Then we met Sue. And Heather and Ray and Merle and Mary Jo. There were cigars and Texans and suddenly we are on the 51st floor of the Wynn watching the fireworks lighting up Las Vegas at eye level. It was a memorable, fun night where we made new friends and clearly miss Jenni.

Revenue For Mississippi Casinos Was Lowest It’s Been Since 1995

The rest of the trip can be summed up: Iowa bowl game watch at the Venetian, crab legs, talking frogs over a waterfall, a winning parlay, Josh spotting a robbery and a far too early flight home to sub-zero temps. A special note to our sweet waiter at Lakeside: Thank you so much for the lobster tutorial

And to show me the exotic crabs with the 4 foot wingspan. The food was fantastic and you made that dinner even more memorable.

We will, of course, go back and do the trip again with a healthy Jenni, after we’ve all caught the flu, but this trip was a great opportunity for 2013. latest news Subscribe to Our free email US Evening Headlines
